Kabul, Afghanistan:

At least two rockets had been fired Tuesday on the presidential palace within the Afghan capital forward of a speech by President Ashraf Ghani marking the beginning of the Muslim vacation of Eid al-Adha, native media and witnesses reported.

The rockets, fired at round 8:00 am (0330 GMT) had been heard throughout the closely fortified Green Zone that homes the palace and a number of other embassies, together with the US mission.
