French President Emmanuel Macron has known as a nationwide safety assembly on Thursday morning to debate the Israeli-made Pegasus adware after stories about its use in France emerged this week, authorities Gabriel Attal mentioned.

“The president is following this topic carefully and takes it very significantly,” Attal instructed France Inter radio, including that the unscheduled nationwide safety assembly could be “devoted to the Pegasus problem and the query of cybersecurity”.
