Lau Abend is ready to make her debut as a contestant on The Voice Australia when the new season premieres subsequent month.

In a new trailer for the upcoming season, the 21-year-old singer revealed how a life-changing experience pushed her into the deep end.

In the video, Lau revealed she was misplaced at sea after her household have been left behind on a scuba diving journey abroad.

‘I went abroad with my household, we went scuba diving and the [tour] information we have been with acquired actually disorientated,’ she mentioned.

‘It was not till we acquired to the floor that we realised the boat had truly left us there.’

Lau continued: ‘At the 5 and a half hours mark, you could possibly see sharks beneath. I used to be consistently considering “Will I die?”.’

She is then seen strolling on the stage earlier than performing to judges Rita Ora, Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.
