A complete of 18,751 households in Mahad and Poladpur talukas in Raigad district had been affected by flooding and different rain-related incidents on July 22 and 23, a district official stated on Monday.
As per the survey executed by the state income division, 18,000 households belong to Mahad and 751 to Poladpur, whereas 562 farmers have additionally suffered losses resulting from flooding, he stated.
“While 30 homes in Mahad and eight homes in Poladpur are totally broken, the variety of partially broken properties stands at 8,121 in Mahad and 552 in Poladpur. A complete of 28 cattle shelters had been destroyed. So far, 3,082 households have acquired reduction from the state authorities by the use of rice, wheat and kerosene” the official stated.
