Accused-turned-approver Rajiv Saxena in AgustaWestland chopper rip-off case, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a reference to an alleged financial institution mortgage fraud case.
He can be produced earlier than a Delhi Court shortly.
The Dubai-based businessman, Saxena was extradited to India on January 31, 2019, in reference to the Rs 3,600 crore rip-off case referring to the acquisition of 12 VVIP helicopters from AgustaWestland.
Enforcement Directorate has been arrested him in reference to the financial institution mortgage case associated to the Central Bank of India. The financial institution had accused Moser Baer, its director and others of defrauding the financial institution of Rs 354 crores. The financial institution had claimed that Moser Baer and its administrators with others, allegedly cast and fabricated paperwork to induce the Central Bank of India to launch funds.
The CBI had, in 2019 filed a case in opposition to Ratul Puri, who’s the previous govt director of Moser Baer India Limited (MBIL), his father Deepak Puri and others on a criticism filed by the Central Bank of India.
Businessman Deepak Puri is the daddy of Rahul Puri and relative of Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
Earlier, the ED had mentioned whereas looking for pardon, Saxena had mentioned he’ll make full disclosure of the info inside his information and his assertion was recorded after which he was granted a pardon. He was later allowed to be an approver topic to his making full disclosure.
Later, the ED once more approached courtroom and challenged his approvership and likewise sought bail cancellations stating his deceptive the investigation and never disclosing the knowledge as promised by him in his statements.
