Journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani shared a photograph of her father and mom saying that her father “all the time believed that India was the most secure residence for his youngsters.”

National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah additionally criticized the chief minister’s comment with a tweet saying, “I’ve all the time maintained the BJP has no intention of preventing any election with an agenda aside from blatant communalism & hatred with all of the venom directed in the direction of Muslims.
