Pregnant mom ‘shot dead at her baby shower while breaking up fight’

Shanice Young, 31, was returning to her Harlem residence after her baby shower round 1 am on Sunday when she was shot 

A heavily-pregnant 31-year-old was shot dead in entrance of her two kids after her baby shower as she tried to separate her ex and her new boyfriend – the daddy of her unborn baby.

Shanice Young was bringing presents from her shower into her constructing foyer at 300 West 128 Street round 1.16am.

‘[The gunman] got here in chasing the boyfriend,’ Jose Morales, the tremendous of Young’s constructing, advised the Daily News. ‘They ran via right here and out the opposite facet and so they ran downstairs.’

The deceased mom’s household advised PIX 11 that her ex-boyfriend had been stalking her, and was mendacity in wait in entrance of her residence.   

As of Monday night, no arrests have been made, the NYPD advised MailOnline.

 ‘I helped her put her presents within the automotive and I stated, “I’ll see you tomorrow,”‘ her father Thurman Young, 57, advised the News.

‘She was going to have her baby in 5 days. She stated “This baby is coming in 5 days, Daddy, prepare.” I stated “I’ll be prepared.”‘

Young was unconscious and unresponsive when police arrived at the scene, and she or he was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.   

The lady’s household advised shops that her daughters, aged 15 and 6, witnessed the taking pictures and appeared on as their mom was loaded into an ambulance.

‘It was a lovely night time,’ Young’s father advised the News of the baby shower. ‘Me and my daughter danced, father-daughter dance, and I reduce the cake… It was packed. We had music, lots of meals, lots of drinks.’

‘This proper right here was a mindless taking pictures,’ stated Harlem Hospital chaplain Robert Rice to PIX. ‘I’m very upset and I’m indignant. I shouldn’t be indignant as a clergy, however this one right here has touched my coronary heart.’
